22 In 22: The Next Steps

Does anyone find it hard to work out what to do with yourself after completing a project. You might have invested a great amount of time and effort into it and when it’s finally done and finished, there’s that feeling of emptiness, that milestone you’ve been striving for has come to fruition but you realise that you hadn’t planned for the immediate aftermath, what were you going to do after that particular goal had been reached.

Taking the next steps may not be straight-forward, sometimes we all need a rest, time to recharge the batteries because we are all human at the end of the day. We can’t function at maximum efficiency 100% of the time, it’s natural to need to take a step back and refocus our energies and when the time is time is right, take the plunge and take the next steps.

What those next steps are? Where they take you? Those are questions you will find out; you might enjoy where the steps will lead you or you might not or you might still be in the dark as to where you’re going, no two paths are the same so ultimately, it’s down to you to find out what steps you need to take. Don’t rush the decision, jump into something that you’re not ready for and you’ll wish you hadn’t been so impatient. Clear your mind, find a way to unwind and relax and you’ll find that the fog clouding your vision will disperse, the uncertainty that existed before will disappear. Those steps that seemed invisible before are now more clear than ever.

That emptiness that was there before is something to embrace because then you can fill that void with something worthwhile. The glass isn’t always half-empty, if you have a positive mindset, that glass will be half-full. How you fill the whole of the glass is entirely up to you.
